LV - Electrical Infrastructure Phase 2 - Medical Lake

The Project consists of replacing and reconfiguring the existing campus generator’s headend distribution system and the south campus medium-voltage distribution system. Two new paralleled 750kW generators with a single above-grade fuel tank will replace the existing campus generator in a new equipment yard. The new equipment yard will also contain switchboards, transformers, and automatic transfer switches. A campus-wide generator start signal infrastructure will be part of the project and automatic transfer switches will be installed at the central and north part of the campus. Two existing generators, fuel tanks, and several automatic transfer switches will be removed. The construction sequence is broken into phases such that the campus is not without emergency power for longer than a four-hour duration. The generator distribution system will be reclassified from an NEC standby system to an NEC 517 Essential Electrical System.
